Elpidophoros S. Sotiriadis

Biography

Dr. Elpidophoros S. Sotiriadis is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health in the Master's Program "Management of Health Units" at the School of Economics and Management of APKY. He is a Physician specializing in Occupational Medicine, holds a master's degree in Epidemiology and a PhD in Environmental and Occupational Health from the Harvard University School of Public Health.

He has extensive international teaching experience having taught as an Assistant Professor at the Harvard University School of Public Health, as an Assistant Professor at the Medical School of the University of Thessaly, at the Nursing Schools of the European University of Cyprus, Philips University, Frederick University and the Cyprus University of Technology and recently as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Public Health, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Federal University of the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Sotiriadis' research interests span a variety of epidemiology and public health research areas including tobacco control, cardiovascular disease, cancer, obesity, infectious disease, mental health, and occupational health and safety issues. with special emphasis on the health of Firefighters.

He has published more than 110 scientific articles in international medical and scientific journals including articles in one of the best medical journals, The New England Journal of Medicine.
