Abstract
Polish
regulations in the field of care for women in the perinatal period, i.e. during
pregnancy, childbirth, and after childbirth during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. They
are based on recommendations and reports: the Ministry
of Health, Patient's Rights Ombudsman (RPP), Polish Society of Gynecologists and
Obstetricians (PTGiP), The
aim of the study was to assess the general condition of newborns of mothers
diagnosed with covid-19. The
study included mothers with newborns hospitalized for delivery. Covid-19 was
diagnosed in all examined women by means of a molecular PCR test. The pregnancies
of women diagnosed with Covid-19 ended by cesarean section. The women made
decisions to isolate the newborn from each other. The general
condition of all newborns was good (all monitored parameters were normal)

Witkowska, MA, is a trained midwife, and specialist in neonatal nursing. He works
as an instructor at the Mazowiecka Public University and at the P?ock
Healthcare Institution.
