Abstract
During pregnancy
and breastfeeding, a mother's body experiences significant physiological
changes involving all organs to maintain pregnancy and for successful
breastfeeding. Ramadan is a month that Muslims look forward to every year,
including pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Pregnant and breastfeeding
mothers' readiness to welcome Ramadan is important. Leaflets on Instagram and
videos on Youtube are media that can be used to influence health behavior, in
this case for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to be better prepared. Leaflet
and video making uses ten factors to increase the probability that the media
will be accesible from people that are available online include ensuring the
validity through the right keywords on searching. The leaflets consist of a
collection of related informative (such as previous research on
mothers’complaints during fasting and the effects of fasting to mothers,
opinions of scholars regarding the lightness of fasting, and special healthy
tips for mothers regarding fasting) and interesting writing and images, while
the videos which also consist of a collection of informative and interesting
writing and images, and also incorporating music. The leaflets that have been
made are shared on Instagram while the videos that have been made are uploaded
on YouTube one month before and during Ramadan. The high number of likes is a
clue to the high enthusiasm of leaflet readers and video viewers. Recent
advances in technology can facilitate the dissemination of accessible and
engaging health education.Through leaflet and video making and sharing, it is
expected to provide additional information which ultimately and broadly
influences the readiness of pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in welcoming and
undergoing Ramadan. Ramadhan, which is awaited by everyone, including mothers,
can be lived with a healthy spirit.
Biography
Mustika Fatimah
is on going doctoral programme in Sriwijaya University, Indonesia. She has
completed her Medical Doctor from Sriwijaya University and Public Health
Magister from Kader Bangsa University on 31 years. She is the dean’s secretary
of health faculty in Kader Bangsa University from 2022 until now. She likes
writing varied topic, scientific, self story, antology; and has some
publications. She is also member of Indonesia Community Service Lecturer
Association since 2023.
